APRIL=Full of excitement!

It's been awhile since I posted and there has been exciting things happen to us this last month.  I will start with the first week of April.  Danny and I enjoyed watching conference at our stake center both Saturday and Sunday.  We switched off from the chapel (where it played in English) to the R.S room (where is played in Spanish).  The last time I watched conference at a chapel was when I was in Argentina with my mom, I am used to snuggling up on the couch with a blanket and meditate on the talks by having my eyes closed.... but since we don't have cable that comfyness was quickly replaced with the luxury of dressing up in church clothes and watching conference on somewhat comfy benches.  Besides that, both Danny and I really enjoyed all the talks, we feel so blessed, like I'm sure many of you do, to be able to listen to a Prophet of God and his servants! They sure gave some great counsel on families, motherhood etc.  I can't wait to get the Liahona in the mail!!!
After conference weekend Dave and Savani came to visit us for a couple days, since Dave works for Delta they get to fly stand by anywhere Delta flies.  It was fun to have them with us. some of the things we did while they were here:
1.  They walked around UCD campus, Danny and Dave played pool at the institute
2. Toured the Jelly Belly Factory and visited the Oakland temple- took pictures outside
3. After the temple went to San Fran.  got stuck in traffic and to pay the toll 2x (when we could have gotten into the carpool lane and passed for free- we didn't know that!)
4. Took pictures at the Golden Gate bridge, crossed over to Salsalitos side.  Drove somemore, starved Savani and baby-sorry!
5.  Then we did Sealing at the Sacramento temple, visited Arnolds house and ate of the Arnolds forbidden orange fruit trees, boy were they good!
6. I made them an argentine dinner while we chilled at home watching a movie and eating alot of icecream!
It was really fun to have them visit, next time we will be better tour guides!

So in one of my previous posts I talked about different holiday's or activities they do here in Davis and one of them was Picnic day.  It was on a Saturday and it is all student run.  The different departments at the school do different activities that promote their department to other students and community members.  It was fun, we watched dogs race, a horse show, milking of goats etc.. we walked around for about 4 hours and Danny's dept. did some fun things.  oh yeah, and like I said before it is an excuse for students and alumni to get really drunk, we had to walk past a frat house and it was crazy, beer cans everywhere and people acting really dumb!  other than that it was fun!
