This posting is mostly for las Abuelitas de la familia...  I know how much they both enjoy watching videos and seeing pictures of their grandchildren, since we are all so far away ):  I have no idea how to post a video using my blog account- I can't find that option on my toolbar, so all of the videos are linked through youtube, sorry you will have to click on each link to see the video and you'll have to click on the back arrow to get back to the blog, cause if you hit close you'll close out of the blog also.  Please excuse my lame commentary on all the videos!!

4 meses/Baby blessing

Elia had her 4 month check up on the 22nd.  I know I write this every time I post about her, but it really is amazing how fast she is growing.  I am just so Thankful I am able to stay home with her to experience and witness everything she does.  For this appointment I went alone because Danny was "out in the field playing in dirt" and I have to say I don't get as emotional when they give her shots now then from before.  But once again, she was a champ!  She cried when they gave her the second shot then she calmed down and started sucking her whole fist once I picked her up. Once we got home we both took a nap, then went to Danny's cousins mother in-laws house to go swimming for her first time... and she LOVED the water!
 Here are her 4 month stats:
Weight- 12 lbs 5oz -27%
Height- 25 in- 84%
Head- 16.5- 76%

The weekend of Fathers day we were able to go down to So. Cal to visit Danny's family and be a part of  Samuel James Disner's baby blessing-oh how I love baby blessings, they are so special.  Nora and Mike were in CA for vacation, Susie drove from Vegas and Katie came from Utah, so it was a weekend full of family fun, we celebrated Abuelita's birthday and Danny's first Fathers day-Elia gave Daddy a book for him to read to her at night called "Daddy loves me" and we also made him a Shutterfly book with pictures of the family- mainly of Elia and he keeps it in his back pack so he can take her with him everywhere he goes.  We had so much fun visiting family and meeting new cousins, we wish we lived closer to them so Elia can play with them more often.

Danny's pride and joy!

Now that Danny has a daughter we all know that she is his one and only and I have come to accept my place as 2nd or even 3rd place when it comes to certain things Danny is proud of.  Some of them being.......... drum roll please............... his garden, yard, flowers and Maya display we have in the front room.   I'm sure that his whole education career plays a part in that since he studied Soil and the Maya.  Needless to say, I do benefit from it and hopefully when he's done with school and gets a "real job" we will start to see the fruits of his labor even more (:  But for now I get to enjoy beautiful rose flower arrangements in the house, I get to cook with fresh vegetables and spices from our garden and live in beautiful home that he keeps nice and clean on the outside while I do the cleaning on the inside.

Elia's 3 Months

The month of May has been an eventful month and Elia seems to be getting so big and learning something new everyday.  She has started to roll over (with a little help from mommy), she is talking and responds to us A LOT and does this new thing where she holds her pompis up in the air for a long time (she is going to have a 6 pack by the time she's 1). For Memorial weekend my dad came into town so we spent a day at Sutter's Mill Park- this is where they found gold and it started the Gold Rush in California.  We plan to go back with our own pans so Elia can have her first experience of panning for Gold and hopefully she finds lots of it!! We had so much fun, Danny and I decided to get out and see more State parks close to us b/c now CA is deciding to start closing Parks due to State budget cuts so we are going to take advantage of those still open.  Then on Monday the weather here was pretty nice, sunny but windy so we decided to take a nice long walk along the American River, I forgot to bring a hat for Elia so we improvised, which ended up being Danny's idea.....
