Recap of the Sep-Nov.

September:
Danny's birthday
My family came to visit and we danced at our ward's multicultural night, which was super fun. It's been a couple years since I've danced with my siblings. I taught some primary girls a dance from Mexico, my family and 2 youth danced Guatemala then we closed with Argentina.  Our ward couldn't stop thanking us.  It sure made me realize how much I love and miss dancing!
October:
I was busy helping out the Cordova stake with their Youth Dance Festival which turned out great!
Halloween- Elia was so excited to go trick or treating.  She has been into Jessie from Toy story so we decided to do that as our family theme. It was super fun.  She even won an award at our Harvest Festival
We went to Uncle Roy  pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins
November:
I drove out to Utah alone with both kids for my niece, Kiana's blessing.
We went to a rehearsal for the Spanish Christmas program "Veni a mi casa esta navidad" that was done on Temple Square.
My mom drove back to CA with me and we stopped to see my cousin, Elder Hortal, who is serving in the Reno, NV mission.  He currently is in South Lake Tahoe, which is a beautiful place, so we did a day trip out there.
I provided vestuario and helped a friend, who is a guidance counselor at a high school with a multicultural runway show.
We had a Bair Thanksgiving up here in Sacramento. It was an eventful 4 days.  Everyone was up here except for The Disner's who are in China.  But they were missed!  We ate Thanksgiving Dinner, more like lunch at Jacob and Jennifer's house.  Then after us women left the kids at home with the men and abuelita and did our black friday shopping for 8+ hours.  By the time 11:30 hit, I started feeling sick.  I went back to the house but the rest kept going strong till 1:30am. (I don't think i'll give into the whole "consumer idea" of shopping that early next year) On friday we relaxed, went to the park, played soccer and let the kids run off their energy.  Saturday, Susie threw a party for Rebecca, Andrew and Mbali who all turned 2 within the last 3 months. We also made "homeless packages" to have in our car and hand out to people we see on the street, especially during this Christmas season. (it was all Susies idea...props to her) Sunday we all attended our spanish ward and the Bair sisters sang a beautiful song in Sacrament meeting. It was a fun, crazy, tiring, enjoyable weekend with family and a lot of yummy food.
Then a week later, Dec 6. we drove down to L.A for Emma's baptism, and once again it was nice to be with family and especially Emma as she made the important decision to be baptized.

Now to relax a bit and enjoy Christmas here at home.  Then after we will be heading out to Utah for a week!

Potty trained

Its safe to say that Elia at 2 1/2 years old is potty trained....she was showing signs before she turned 2 but with a new baby at that time I was not consistent enough with her, until now. It also helped that when her prima lani came to visit, who is potty trained already elia would see her use "la pelela o inodoro grande" so I think that got her wanting to do what lani was doing....plus she simply didn't like having a wet/dirty diaper on. My goal of getting it done before she turned 3 has been met..it feels so liberating!
We went to chuck-e-cheese on friday for family night and I had put a pull up on certain that she'd be too distracted playing to tell me she needed to go pipis and to avoid an accident..but to my surprise she stopped playing and told me TWICE she needed to go. First time pipis second time popos...I was thrilled...
My baby is growing up!

Update

Danielito- is already 9 months! He crawls all over, pulls himself up on everything, eats everything and gets into everything!!
I have noticed a HUGE difference between girls and boys now that I have one of each.
he is also a mamas boy and has a bad case of "mamitis"....he will follow me around the house crying.."mamamama"
he has hit his head I don't know how many times..boys are so much more active.
He now has 6 teeth!
Some things he loves to do:
Is use Elia as a jungle gym
Loves music- he bounces up/down to my zumba music
Loves singing in church while hitting the himnario
He is all around a happy baby, his giggles and smiles make my heart melt.

Elia is 2 1/2 yrs old.  She is in her independent "yo lo hago mami"
& curious stage "mami q es eso? Donde vamos? Quien es? Que paso? She is very observant and asks questions all the time.
She is now into toy story and is obessed with Jessie (she's alittle behind on her disney movies)
She adores her papi

Reminds us to read "el liblo de momon"
Loves la guarderia
I love watching her pretend play with Danielito.
She's our little singer and dancer..and I love it!
She's doing great with potty training hopefully soon we will be done with diapers (:

On to Danny and I. We both had birthdays (too old to keep track) in sept/oct. Danny is doing great in school he is teaching a lab class and loves it..he stays super busy being Obispo and he plays indoor soccer.
I stay busy raising my kids, I also watch 2 girls 3 days a week and with my calling as 1st counselor in Y.W.  being bishops wife can be super lonely. Some weeks are better than others and same goes for Sunday's.  But I cant deny the blessing that we've received since Dannys been bishop.
On a side note...My family came out to visit in Sept.  It was refreshing for me and much needed! Sure do miss them!
