Pelon

So....a couple weeks ago we decided to buzz baby Daniel. Like most babies, or at least my two kids, they were born with not a lot of hair. So Danny brought it up to me that he wanted to buzz him to even it out and I agreed. It wasn't until he was done and I looked at the hair in the sink that I realized he had more hair than I thought, It was super blond and so soft! Dont worry I saved it in a little baggy! Has you'll see in the pictures he wasn't to thrilled. Now Danny calls him "pelon" so Elia has caught on and when talking or calling out to him she says hermanito pelon...she sure loves him.

Easter

Our Easter weekend was a bit crazy. We had decided last minute to head out to UT to watch living legends performance b/c after this no more Botto/Wilson/Bair will be in the group. We werent too sure if we could make the trip b/c Danny had just had surgery and my car was giving us problems so the only way of transportation was the 2 door mustang which is not comfortable especially with 2 carseats in the back. Plus I'd have to drive the whole way b/c Danny was in no condition to drive. (I think he was milking the whole surgery recovery more than needed. I heard a lot of "the dr. Said I can't....) its sad to say but I had little sympathy for him. I reminded him that when I was pregnant and gave birth completely natural to 8+ lbs babies and I didn't get any special treatment from him so as you can see I didn't feel too bad for him....mean I know! Plus I felt like a single mom taking care of the kids, carrying them, taking them in and out of cars etc with him just watching cause he "couldn't pick anything up". It was a rough couple weeks but I promise I was a good caring wife. ANYWAY, sorry about the rant. The trip was fun and we were able to spend quality time with friends and family.
While in Utah my kids were able to meet both of their great grandmas- bisabuela "meme" and "abuela june" it was nice to spend time and take pictures since I don't get to see them that often and have them meet Daniel.
From UT we drove to LA because Dannys friend wanted to have his son blessed on Sunday and he asked Danny to do it. On our way we stopped by vegas to see dannys sister who just had twins and boy are they super cute!
Easter sunday was a bit crazy.. we all (6 adults 4 kids) were rushing to get ready (1 shower) but we made it to church on time and danny gave a beautiful blessing.  We then ate at our friends house and had an easter egg hunt for the kids. Then from there we made our trek back to Sac.  All in all it was a fun eventful trip that made some great memories.

Daniel Patricio's blessing

The weekend of March 3rd My family along with Danny's parents, lynch family, orellana family and Jimenez family came up to SAC For Daniel's blessing. last minute adam and wendy worked it out so Mbali  could be blessed in our ward also. Our humble little home was packed with adults and crazy kids but it sure was fun to visit with everyone and watch as the kids played together in english, spanish which ended up spanglish. We feel blessed to have amazing people in our life who support us and were there to share in Danielito's special day. I got teary eyed as I watched all the worthy priesthood holders of our family and friends stand together surrounding Daniel as they participated in his blessing- you could feel the love raidiating from the circle- such a beautiful day!

2 and 2

At the begining of march Daniel turned 2 months and I've been trying to faithfully take pictures of him each month, so as I did a mini photo shoot of him, of course Elia wants in on the fun, then I realized that she had just turned 2 yrs old so we did a sibling 2 & 2 shoot.
Now that Danielito is closer to 3 months I might as well write about some of his mile stones.
He is a good eater, growing boy and super strong.  He holds his head up with much control and he likes to be standing.
He is a social little one...he loves to "talk" and does it for quite a while..its cute to see Elia and him converse.
He loves the hamaca it is a great babysitter when we are outside
He is our guerito and most likely will have light eyes. I think he does look more like me as a baby but as I was looking through Elia's baby pictures I totally saw a resemblance. He is a better mix of both Danny and I.
He is a happy boy and love him to pieces.
Quick story about his 2month shots.... we went to the dr. and when the nurse walked in Elia started crying held onto me and kept saying "no mami no". I explained to her that the visit was for hermanito not her (she had her 2yr check up a couple weeks before) she finally calmed down as I put daniel on the bed. When the nurse came back in to give him the shots once again Elia realized what was going to happen and literally started crying louder than daniel saying "no hermanito no, duele hermanito" once the nurse was done I had to console her more than daniel. It was sad but so cute at the same time, she was obviously trying to warn him and sympathized with him. I love my two kids. Never a dull moment.
