Bair Family Reunion

In July we were able to get together with all of Danny's siblings to celebrate his parents 40th anniversary.  We spent 1 week 1/2 in So. Cal... we had many things planned which made it fun and kept us busy.  Our activities started off in Sylmar by going to the L.A temple and doing an early morning session as a family, then we had a day at the park, Sunday we went to church and after had a family talent show, which was super fun to watch. Every family got creative but I'd have to say that the Susie and Jacob's families tied for most creative.  We then went out to the Riviera Oaks resort for a week where we went biking, had a family friendly tennis match, hiked around the trials, played some fun games Susie prepared, went to the San Diego Zoo and relaxed and ate in between.  It was fun to watch all the grandkids play together and communicate in English, Spanish, Spanglish and Sign Language. We were happy to have spent that time with family and create fond memories.  Hopefully we will be able to do this again in another 2 years!!

Summer activities

This summer has been full of fun, busy and relaxing activities. For the 4th of July we spent it with some friends eating some good food and enjoying the sun/water and later the Rancho Cordova City Fireworks (which were pretty lame compared to the Stadium of Fire, but still fun to watch). Also this is the first 4th of July that Danny and I actually spend together.  In 2010 Danny had flown out to Utah to defend his Thesis and was gone that weekend, so I was all by my lonesome in Davis ( I also found out that day that I was pregnant with Elia). In 2011 Danny was out on a 2 1/2 week class trip learning about CA soil, so I ended up flying out to UT with baby Elia and spent some time with family.  So now to this year, it was nice to be together as a family and be able to light fireworks at out house, Elia was fascinated by the fireworks.

                                                      Elia sure loved the parade

Also this summer we were able to get some camping in...... Danny was super excited to go camping for the first time with Elia, me on the other hand, not so much, but it really didn't end up all that bad, it was a short one nighter (we had met up with Danny's dad who on our way down to L.A who was doing a bike trip with the youth in his stake and decided to camp with them one night) and Elia slept perfectly through the whole night.
